In 2016 as part of redeveloping www.portofhalifax.ca, Nicom revamped and moved all the existing cargo related tools and functionality from HPA’s Halifax Gets it There website to one central hub of PortofHalifax.ca; the Port Operations Centre. Along with updates to existing tools, a number of new ones were developed along with the new version of the website, which was built on the WordPress content management system. Some of the tools and features in the Port Operations Centre include container tracking, vessel schedule and tide data, route maps and a transit time calculator.
